Happy New Year. I hope you were able to enjoy a safe, happy holiday season. We are beginning the year with the unfortunate but not unexpected news of COVID-19 spreading rapidly following the holiday season. I remain optimistic that with Public Health’s guidance, the dedication of health-care professionals, and the co-operation of New Brunswickers, we will get this under control in short order. We have reached the end of a challenging year. I would like to thank each of you for your unwavering efforts to care for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our province has not been subjected to the worst of the pandemic like many other jurisdictions have and much of that credit goes to the hard work provided by Public Health leaders and frontline physicians.
