Provincial Auditor General Kim Adair-MacPherson today issued a performance audit of New Brunswick’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) program. The report is critical of both the provincial government and the New Brunswick Medical Society. This is an extremely challenging period for our province with double-digit COVID-19 cases being announced daily. Public Health and government have said that this week will be critical in our fight against this virus. Recent updates have been disheartening, but we must not lose hope. As of this writing, more than 10,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in our province, many to health-care providers. This is a positive step to a better future — but we have a long way to go. [Read More...]
