Virtual Care NB should help make the best use of scarce resources

The New Brunswick Medical Society recognizes the important role virtual care plays in complementing the delivery of primary care to New Brunswick patients and are pleased that government has followed through on its commitment to introduce triage in our provincial virtual care system.  

Used strategically, Virtual Care NB should help make the best use of very scarce resources and improve patient safety and continuity of care by ensuring the right provider is used at the right time to best meet patient needs. 

We will be monitoring the roll out of the service closely to ensure that access remains a core priority, especially for those patients without a family physician.
