The NBMS has negotiated a program with government which tops up the honoraria payments of physicians serving on provincial government committees to $1,000/day ($500/half-day). The program is administered by the NBMS and the top-up is paid quarterly.

The program can only top up actual payments. If no honorarium was paid in the first instance, there will be no top-up. The top-up payments are based on honoraria payment lists provided by government.
