Statement on New Brunswick’s addiction and mental health action plan

The New Brunswick Medical Society strongly supports the provincial government’s new five-year action plan to address the increasing demand for addiction and mental health services. Physicians see daily the addictions and mental health challenges that New Brunswickers face. A comprehensive strategy to improve access, to intervene early, and to match individuals with the most appropriate care is needed. The NBMS is prepared to collaborate with government and other stakeholders to move this strategy forward.
