NBMS Welcomes New Provincial Measures to Foster Healthy Digital Habits Among Students
The New Brunswick Medical Society welcomes the Government of New Brunswick’s decision to introduce measures that reduce classroom distractions and support healthier digital habits for children and youth. Research continues to demonstrate the impact excessive screen time and social media use can have on mental health, learning, attention, and social development.
These evidence-informed steps help create environments where students can focus, build meaningful connections, and thrive both academically and emotionally. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these changes will have on the well-being of New Brunswick students.
