The District Medical Societies provide a forum for physicians to discuss and act on issues of local importance and a channel through which issues of provincial significance can be brought to the NBMS Board of Directors and the broader membership. They also nominate local candidates for leadership roles within the NBMS and identify local physicians for recognition.
