New Brunswick experiences extreme winter weather conditions that lead to icy and snow-packed roads.

The New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) encourages drivers to choose winter tires. All-season tires are not a substitute for winter tires. In addition to providing up to 50 per cent more traction, winter tires outperform all-season and summer tires at temperatures below 7°C (45°F). Simply put, winter tires make winter driving safer.
