Statement on COVID-19 outbreak in Moncton
The COVID-19 outbreak in Moncton is a reminder that the virus is persistent and always at our doorstep. We urge New Brunswickers to follow Public Health guidance, including practising good hygiene, respecting social/physical distancing measures, wearing a community mask when you can’t keep distance, and self-isolating when you feel unwell. Physicians and other health-care professionals have been working tirelessly to prepare for what has been an anticipated second wave of the pandemic. New Brunswickers heeding the advice of public health professionals is fundamental to effectively meeting the challenge that the fall and winter months will bring. We must all work together to prevent increased cases from overwhelming a health system that is already under strain.
