Physicians pleased with province’s health capital estimates
The New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) is pleased with the provincial government’s announcement of significant investments in upgrading infrastructure and equipment for New Brunswick patients. We are strongly encouraged that government’s priorities include several major renovation and capital projects, which will modernize existing facilities, as well as allocating funding for enhanced equipment.
These investments will help ensure New Brunswick’s health-care infrastructure is more efficient and allows for greater collaboration across health professions and disciplines. This will benefit not only the patients receiving state-of-the-art care, but also the young health-care professionals learning in these facilities.
The NBMS is pleased that the government’s plan aligns with a number of the infrastructure recommendations presented in our Physicians’ Vision for Success, and we continue to encourage government to look to health-care providers as active contributors in infrastructure decisions and planning.
