Physicians encouraged by New Brunswick Primary Care Network
New Brunswick physicians are encouraged by the creation of the New Brunswick Primary Care Network. Many New Brunswickers are disadvantaged by lack of access to primary care which impacts how they interact with the broader health system. The Primary Care Network is a new, innovative entry point to the health system for those in individuals and their families without a primary care provider. It will improve the health of our citizens and reduce the burden on overcrowded emergency departments. Physicians in all corners of the province have agreed to provide a combination of virtual and in-person care to patients in the Primary Care Network and will maintain continuity of care through a cloud-based Electronic Medical Record. The New Brunswick Medical Society is pleased to have collaborated with the provincial government on the creation of this network.
