Physician Social Engagement Fund

The Physician Social Engagement Fund has been established to provide financial assistance for local physician initiatives/events throughout the province that seek to enhance engagement, wellness, and/or collegiality among physicians.

To be eligible for funding, all Physician Social Engagement Initiatives must:

  • Align with the objectives of the NBMS Wellness program
  • Be proposed by a committee or group of physicians
  • Receive support from the Medical Staff Office and The District President
  • Include a budget for the wellness initiative/event
  • Complete the Physician Social Engagement Funding Application below

Funding will be granted based on the merit of the project and on a first-come, first-served basis for each hospital/center. The amount awarded to each hospital or center will range from $1000 to $3000, depending on its size. As a general guideline, smaller hospital medical staffs may receive up to $1000 per year, while larger medical staffs may receive up to $3000.

If your Physician Social Engagement Initiative is approved for funding by the NBMS Wellness program, the following requirements must be met:

  • NBMS must be acknowledged in all promotional materials associated with the initiative/event
  • Promotion and photographs of the initiative must be submitted to the Assistant Manager of Finance, at

If the initiative is approved for funding, the NBMS will require direct deposit banking information to process payment.
