Pharmacist Care Clinic Pilot Project

The NBMS supports and recognizes this government’s focus on increasing access to primary health-care services for New Brunswickers. Given the shortage of health human resources in the province, it is important to have all our allied health professionals working to full scope. However, it is disappointing that there was no prior consultation or engagement with family physicians through the NBMS in the development of this new model. Collaboration, information sharing, and continuity of care within a Patient Medical Home model is considered best practice across the country and essential to ensuring patient safety and better health outcomes for those with chronic health-care issues.
