NBMS Board Candidate Selection Survey

NBMS seeks to embed principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility (IDEA) in the pursuit of our mission in a respectful, balanced and nondiscriminatory manner. Accordingly, a new IDEA Policy that was approved by the board in January 2024 and now guides our mindsets in considering Board appointments. In October 2024, the membership also approved a new best practice governance model for NBMS Board, Standing Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups.

As the Nominations and Appointments Committee seeks to implement and respect these policies and procedures, the idea of a member survey was raised for recommending appointments.

The proposed survey enables staff and the Board to ensure our newly formed governance framework and IDEA policy are activated with integrity, objectivity and transparency.

The survey is confidential. The information shared by members will only be available to the Nominations and Appointments Committee for the purpose of compiling an anonymized, rolled up report to the NBMS Membership.
