Statement on the grouping of primary health care resources

“The New Brunswick Medical Society supports the New Brunswick government’s general goal of strengthening the primary health care system in the community. However, for the Medical Society, it is too early to comment formally on the project of grouping primary health care resources under the management of Medavie Health Services of New Brunswick, announced by the Health minister on September 1^st. Too few details have been provided about the project, including the costs, the performance indicators and the possible impact on existing services and on patients.”
