Call For Applications For Diabetes Strategy Innovation Fund

A Comprehensive Diabetes Strategy for New Brunswickers was released in June 2011. The New Brunswick government has created an innovation fund to support healthcare providers to improve care to persons living with diabetes.  This fund provides seed money, or start-up money, to initiate practical, quality improvement projects that directly improve the management of persons with diabetes and at risk of developing the disease. 

Funding is open to Regional Health Authorities, Physician Practices, Non-Government and Community Organizations across New Brunswick.  Partnerships, collaborations or independent application may apply to conduct the project.

Applications are accepted from within the Province of New Brunswick for projects delivered within New Brunswick.

Submitted projects will demonstrate the following key components:

(a)  Quality improvement incorporating best practices;
(b)  Achievable outcomes; and
(c)  Sustainable improvements.

The CDPM Innovation Fund is now open for application for Year 2012-2013.

Applications must be received by August 17th, 2012.  All applications will be acknowledged in writing when received.  Applications will be reviewed by an Assessment Panel within 30 days of application closing date.  Successful applicants will then be given written notification of funding by October 1^st, 2012.
